So, lowdown on the concert -
bloody brilliant. Set list
was FANTASTIC (albeit a few
songs that I'm not familiar
with; I'd just learned about
them recently, so sue me!)
they played pretty much
every song I loved from
them ever. Highlight of
the day - YELLOW SING-ALONG!
(sounds like a bad sketch
on Barney)
He screwed up the ending to 42
and it was great

He even
changed the lyrics at the end
to something along the lines
of "we all make mistakes, it's
okay, we are forgiven"
Anyway, highlights aside from
the brilliant band that is
Coldplay - we were all trying
to entertain ourselves in the
two hours before the bloody
concert started, so some girl
a few rows in front of me tells
her other friends to do a wave.
They do so, to no avail. Then they do it again, with some other guys across a section doing it too. A few tries later and before you know it, WAVE PANDEMONIUM spreads across the entire upper level of the stadium! It was hilarious. Shortly thereafter we began to chant COLD-PLAY! COLD-PLAY! It was wonderful. They had some wonderful gimmicks as well - in the middle of one of the songs they decided to go up and play in the audience stands (those lucky sods in those seats!), and after a couple songs, they left that portion, only to come back playing some crap Fox News bullshit about Coldplay ripping off their music, as well as some weirdo war-related images of George Bush and co. dancing to techno music. Then they came and started to play Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love, with some video in the back to match the lyrics. Screen goes dark, people assume the show's over and start leaving, and then BAM! Death and All His Friends.
My personal favourites were obviously Yellow (SING ALONG TIME OMG), Viva la Vida (talk about dance music! everyone got up and clapped

), Yes (goddamn that was wonderful), a remix of God Put a Smile Upon Your Face, an awesome version of Chinese Sleep Chant, CLOCKS, Speed of Sound, and the strobe lights. God.
Also I got a really sexy Viva t-shirt. I'll post pix.
